How to Rent a Surfboard

To reserve your surfboard rental in advance, click the button below. Then get your board using one of these easy options. If you’re frothing to surf today, give us a call or visit our school or shop during operating hours.

At the Beach
Stop by our school’s spot at Bolsa Chica in Huntington Beach. Pick up your board at our container.

Rental Option 2

At Our Shop
Visit our Board Members surf shop in downtown Huntington Beach. We offer drive-thru pick up.

Other Surfboard Rental Options

In additon to our daily surfboard rentals we also offer longterm rentals and an ebike board rental combo. Both are run out of our surf and bike shop in downtown Huntington Beach (called “Board Members”).

Rental Lease Program

Our surfboard rental leases are ideal for beginners or those with kids who plan to surf more than a handful of times. Take home any soft top and wetsuit from our shop for 3-months to use anywhere you like. You can also borrow boards and wetsuit any day directly on the beach from our container at Bolsa Chica State Beach, when open.

1-Month Surfboard Rental

We offer a 1-month longterm board rental (with option to extend). You get a board to take home out of the shop and unlimited access to boards at our Bolsa Chica beach container, when open. Prices vary by package.

eBike & Board Combo

Pick your electric bike up from our shop via appointment. Ride to our beach container for your surf board rental. Surf the best waves of the day, then cruise around town and the coast. Keep the bike until 4:30pm. Rate is $100, and includes both bike and surfboard rental.

It’s width and volume provide the drive and flotation needed to stand up easily, build confidence and catch more waves. Why It’s Better to Rent Than Buy

Novice surfers often buy a hard top surfboard too advanced for them or an inexpensive soft top to get in the water as fast possible. But there is a reason why we recommend against buying a Costco Surfboard.

Beginners should not commit to just one board to start. The goal is to progress and become a better surfer. Having the flexibility to move from one board type to the next is how that happens. So rent to start, see what works best for you, and ride on from there.
